Getting Out of Protected view in Word 2016

Hi, Folks.  I had to buy Office 2016 because my computer crashed, and 
Microsoft wouldn't let me download an old copy.  Since then, I've had to 
go into a protected view document to read it; much harder than in 
regular mode.  How do I disable the protected view mode?  Thanks in
