I would not want to pay the going price for JAWS as I am sure a deal is in the works for all WE owners to get a deal on making the switch.

Hi.
I have also switched to Jaws. It works really well with Google chrome, on the
internet. But I switch back to W.E. and firefox, for the bard page, as I like
it better. It's a process, as I've been using W.E. since 1998.

Hello List,

It is with great sadness that today I installed Jaws.

I have noticed a few things I like. I don't know the Jaws mouse cursor, but I
was able to use it to read the AVG Zen screen and go to my messages within Zen
and read them. Also, in Thunderbird, I was able to read more with the mouse
with jaws. The onboard training is pretty nice too. I always hated trying to
surf through the W-e manual.

I'm still having issues changing settings like speech rate, etc. I am doing a
lot of trial and error to get where I need to go. I will have to actually
read/listen to some of the training stuff.

Of course, Window-eyes Tech Support was the best. But as much as I love
Window-Eyes and the former Tech Support, I have to look out for myself as all
the GW Micro employees did. They all have other jobs and lives outside of
GW/window-eyes. I had gone into vacation mode for the talk discussion list,
but I was always subscribed to the GW News list and heard nothing until the
manditory/necessary update was announced this January. When I came back to the
discussion list it was you kind people who filled me in.

I'll still use Window-eyes, but I will be ready to change as change is coming
(like records to 8-track tapes, to cassettes, floppy disks, ....and on it goes.)
