Yes. When I learned the abacus, my thoughts were that it's a primitive
calculator, and that when you set up the math problem, you have the answer

Yes Yes, I remember that Big ol Basic Calculator. I recall it was a
Whopping $400, which was a lot of money back in those days. More than I
had any way.
I had just gone through Rehab, where I learned to use the Abacus. Laugh
if you want, but once I learned that Abacus, I thought everyone should
learn to use the Abacus, Sighted and Blind both.
I thought it was a great tool to use when doing typical Math Stuff.
I have a couple of Talking calculators, but on occasion, I still use an
Abacus.
