try useing the eleguance reed voice.
i get this all the time with my ivona and neo speech voices even in firefox, i
e, notepad and adobi reader.
if you don't have the voice rotor app i would use this to change voices on the
fly.

Hello list members,
I am using windows 7 and we 9.5 with office 10. When reading a large
document with control, shift,r the document will start to read and about a
third of the way down the reading will go back to the top of the document.
