When this merger happened, I made a statement that WE would be let go. Everyone kind of said that that would not happen. If this does happen, it will be an absolute shame, because I found out two things regarding developments in JAWS, and NVDA. NVDA has some support for Microsoft edge, and it also supports adobe connect, quite nicely. Furthermore, JAWS does not as of this time, support either of these programs. Thanks, Darrell

They can a. switch to a different screenreader such as NVDA, and cut the costs of SMA's and other software agreements. b. They can switch to jaws, although I suspect for various and sundry reasons a lot of people don't want to do that, because they chose Window-eyes for a reason, but the choice is still there. C. they can switch to a low-cost sollution like System access, yes it is still under development under the sero name. It still gets updates and is maintained. D. The people who still want to, can always stick with Window-eyes. The only part of this choice that concerns me is that soon enough, it won't be able to keep up with many of the advances on the internet and newly-released software. If development ceases completely, they may as well just make it free, throw it out there and say ok, have at it. We will just have to see what happens until VFO is ready to make a statement. Until then it's buisness as usual.
