Actually: I did - perhaps not knowing about VFO as I thought a Microsoft deal was going to develop. Window-eyes is still better than the latest release of Narrator.
The Office deal was spun as a way of getting a good quality screen reader into the hands of people who would other-wise not access Windows. Commendable and based on sound principles of fair play for everyone. But it abandoned any effort to promote deals for paying customers.
