I'd be interested in this history. Do you have a link? Got my first
Apple 2 e in 1983 from computer aids, ran screen-talk and then
vocal-eyes and then window-eyes. I think I've been doing this stufs
much to long. Now I begin learning n v d a.

I presume that it is because Window-eyes was purchased with the intention of
eliminating a competitor so they are unlikely to release a source code for
others to develop Window-eyes.
I'm really sorry and a bit fed-up too that Window-eyes is to be discontinued
but can see it is a business decision - no different than other take-overs.
