The serial number you don't need to put in the activation, unless they changed it. When you download the demo of JAWS, when it first runs, an activation dialog will appear. Click the enter authorization number manually, and then paste the authorization number in to the software edit field, then select activate by internet, which is the default option. I hope this helps.
