Hi there!
I no longer use W.E. but if you try the CTRL+\ and exit window-eyes and
then restart it this might take care of your issue. I no when I had
issues such as that, this method would work most of the time. Good Luck

I am running we latest and last bersion
Running windows 7
All had been working great and out of the blue, I kept getting the message,
not in detailed biew
I could not do anything.
I had shortcuts on the desktop and when I pressed w for word, it came back
no wirelss
I pushed c for hard drive and it said calendar
And every thing I tried, it kept saying not in detailed view.
I know you can set your folders in detail or list, but, this was not it
I could get into the we control panel but did not know what to look for.
I kept shutting down and restarting, but, the same thing kept happening.
Well all day pushing and pressing to no avail
So later in day I started the computer again and lo and b behold, it was ok
again.
So, what did I do, and if it happens again, how do I fix it
