vfo probibly won't do anything about this.
but this is there suggestion address.
Suggestions<[email protected]>

window eyes is the only screen reader that gives you the choice to turn the keyboard speech on or off for password fields. i would still request this option to vfo like i did. maybe if enough people request the option to turn passwords on or off they might do it.
i don't need this security. when its just me, myself and i, at home.
as i pointed out to vfo, what good is hearing stars in a work enviranment anyway. someone can just stand in back of you and watch the keys you press.

Ed, I have bad news for you.
This question came up on the JAWS list I subscribed to and the short and
long answer is no it does not.
This generated many many many messages both for the feature and against the
feature.
The suggestions ranged from putting your passwords into a text file and then
copy paste them into the fields or get a password manager.
Not the answer you wanted but I hope it might help.
Shannon

Subject: Jaws18 Show/Read Password?

Fellow Migrants -
One WE9 feature I miss sorely is the option to show passwords. My fumbling
typing is not helped by hearing only ***** (series of stars) when typing a
password. Some sites I have visited while using Jaws18 offer a "Show" option
for the password field, but it has to be invoked each time I attempt logging
onto that site.
Does Jaws have a setting for reading/showing passwords universally, rather
than only when a "Show" control is provided for the password field? Not all
password fields offer the option to show/read.
I have searched for settings and help articles related to this nuisance, but
I have not found a solution. If I am missing something, please point me in
the right direction so I can access help for this situation.
Many thanks for the help.
Ed Culpepper
