Norene,
I don't know if you are using the Office version or the paid one, but
you can try this.
Go to the license management
section of your help menu, and choose the validation options, and
first try revalidating online, and if that doesn't work, then try
offline. That has worked for me in the past. As with all of this stuff,
there is a little risk involved, but you might at least give that a go.
