Both in Window Eyes and NVDA you can use the physical mouse to pass the mouse pointer over text on the screen and it will read it, but I can't find a setting in JAWS to do this, is this possible in JAWS? ----- Original Message ----- From: Dennis Long via Talk To: 'Window-Eyes Discussion List' Cc: Dennis Long Sent: Friday, September 1, 2017 11:10 AM Subject: RE: Learning JAWS and NVDA Use the search box in settings center of jaws it's your friend. -----Original Message----- From: Talk [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Loy via Talk Sent: Friday, September 01, 2017 10:46 AM To: Window-Eyes Discussion List Cc: Loy Subject: Learnig JAWS and NVDA In learning JAWS as a WE user, my biggest problem is learning the JAWS menus and settings. I find it hard to find what I need. Some are not as descriptive as I would like. I do like the Microsoft mobile voice Mark, I find it responsive and easy to listen to. I find that NVDA and JAWS have some similarities. I find that NVDA does some things better than JAWS. I do want to get a working knowledge of both screen readers just in case WE stops working in future releases of Windows. But right now still like WE best. _______________________________________________ Any views or opinions presented in this email are solely those of the author and do not necessarily represent those of Ai Squared.
