Sorry to be a bit of a crab but a novel idea might be to practice typing
until you get good enough to type passwords accurately. I've been
working with blind students for over 10 years. They know from the
beginning that they need to get good enough with the keyboard to
correctly type passwords. They do the work to get better which pays off
for them in doing all of their computer work. The copy and paste method
of enterring passwords is interesting. However, if people have enough
skills to do that they may be close to being able to type them in.

I have a friend that has a file with all of her passwords and other log-in

and why do home bodies need this?
there's no one here to see the passwords. so why can't i turn the stars off
like window eyes can?
i only have 3 tries before i am locked out of my accounts.
and some of them will only unlock my accounts by sending me a unlock code
by mail. not by email. so i could be locked out for weeks.
i have to use window eyes for passwords. or type them in note pad and copy
and paste them into the password fields.
we should have the choice to speak or not speak the keys you press in the
password fields.
my requests to f/s just falls on deaf ears.
they have not responded to any of my jaws questions to date.

It's done this way for security. Think about it a sighted person couldn't
see it either it would appear as stars or dots.

WE does the same thing, and as much as I don't like not knowing what I am
typing, I like the security of knowing I am typing my password in the
correct field.

Hello, jaws says star, star, star, when I type in a password. Does
anyone know how to change this so that jaws will say what is actually
being typed. I like to hear the actual characters, so I know I am
typing the password correctly. Thanks.
