The work-around works. It's just odd that I can't press Enter on the drive letter any more. Oh well, I can work with it.

Hi Tom,

You might try pressing the shift key with the context key to bring up
more options.  They, see if you can find something like explore files or
possibly press enter on the open link.  If the cd you are trying to open
is an audio cd, you will only see .cda files, and they will not tell you
much at all.
