Hi Lloyd,

Yes, I've seen that myself, and the way to avoid overwriting default.set with
modified settings is to open the set file prior to associating it with any
application.

Best,

Rod

Sometimes I have attempted to save a new configuration and it went into
default.set rather than the SET file I had intended.

Hi Carol,

Yes, we're using the same version of GoldWave.
My arrow keys are as silent as the tomb.
Just to be clear, it is with Window-Eyes that you are getting this
verbosity?
Also, if you are in the window where you can play and scroll around your
file, and you open the WE control panel, what is the associated set file?
As I mentioned, default.set is mine, and, if another is associated, this may
be your problem.
If so, try associating default.set.

Best,

Rod

Hi Rod,

I am using 6.31, or that is what the download version calls itself. The tag
on the desktop says it is version 6.1.0.0. It is the latest version, I
think from around July or something like that.

Do your arrow keys say anything when you press them? Mine did not before
installing this version.

Carol
