Interesting.
Two days ago, my Window-Eyes had a crash, and I had to do a cold-boot of the system. After that, the error report message comes up every time I start Window-eyes. I thought it was only my system, and had in mind to ask the list if there is a way to get rid of the whole thing. Been searching through the menus, hoping for a way to turn error reporting off, but did see nothing. and here, you are several others, who experience the report message popping up on you. Well, at least it seems it might not be my system. Smiles. May I ask if you guys have had some of the apps crash on you as well? See on my system, a couple of apps seem to crash every time I load WinEyes. This has been going on for a couple of weeks, so a bit longer than the Error Report issue, but just wonder if there is some kind of connection. Basically, I do not need the apps, so might have to simply just turn them off, and perhaps you are not running them, hence they would not crash on you. Still just wanted to know. The apps in question is the Uninstall App, developed by Bruce; and also the app that let us change profile with a hotkey, its name being some foreign language, but it something like Profilu. Sorry, I don't have it in front of me right now, that's why memory has to serve. For your info, I have scanned my computer with AntiVirus, Anti-Malware programs, and even ran a Registry cleanup with CCleaner. Once I had the WEDiag app installed yesterday, I let it rebuild the Accessibility Libraries, being one of the features it offered. I had hope that any of this took care of the Error Report, but it doesn't seem to have any positive effect. I did try to hit Send, next time I simply just closed the Error Report Message. The rest of the times it's been on my screen, I pressed the Delete button of the dialog, hoping it would remove the thing from my computer. But it sure seems it generates new reports every startup. Happens even if you close WinEyes with Ctrl-Insert-F4, and then restart the screen reader - a new Error Report comes up. Probably you are right, it might have to do with late updates of the general system. By the way, Yes, I do run Win7Pro 64Bit. Not sure if that is the only kind of systems affected. Who knows, maybe this is the signal that WinEyes is giving its last breath. Win7 support is obviously going to be discontinued in 6 months from now, so could it be something there?
