Hi Tom,

Yes, I recall buying a conversion program called Aid for Mail for $30.00 just
for the ability to use it once only in order to convert my Thunderbird email to
the required format for Outlook to use it.
I chose to convert my email to a Outlook .PST file for my email in order to
make it portable.
As for the contacts, since I was using an Outlook account, which I’m still
using, specifically, this hotmail account I’m writing from right now, all my
contacts are within the account itself, and so there was nothing to convert.
However, I do believe that many of your contacts are pulled from your email
once you have imported it, and so, even if your email account itself doesn’t
hold your contacts, since you’re using Charter.net, perhaps you’ll still be
okay.
I’m going from memory here, and perhaps I’m mistaken about some of these
things, and so let me know if you need more specific details, and I can always
dig into the matter further.

All the best,

Rod
