Hi David, I could say a lot about scripting Window-Eyes. I learned it using Chip Orange's scripting course materials, both lecture recordings and notes. However, being a relative novice to the high level of programming competence one needs to write scripts, I can say, humbly, that it is a long, hard climb, and this is because those materials are only an introduction to this subject. I would tend to be inclined to see what you can do using user and hyperactive windows. As a more comprehensive solution, I also recommend a caller ID program called Ascendis Caller ID, which, incidentally, does have a scripting interface, but comes preconfigured to speak numbers and names once you receive calls from your favorite contacts and put them in the program's address book. I even got it for half off when I mentioned to the developer that I was blind. The main requirement for using the program, however, is that you invest in one of several recommended modems which the developer has tested. This is my take on this complex and exciting couple of subjects. Smile

My task seems simple but since I never wrote a WE app, I am not sure. I have a phone app that displays the caller id. I want the caller id spoken when it comes in. I was thinking of creating a hyperactive user window, but the manual says an app may be better.
