Hi:

I think Window-Eyes 3.1 may have been the last version to support Windows
3.1.

The funny thing about it is that the demo from GW Micro was a
self-extracting setup file, but, I couldn't get it to run under Win 3.1 I
had to use Winrar to extract the contents of the demo and I was able to run
it from the extracted files.

I do have a copy of my CD, so it wasn't an issue, I just wanted to contrast
the two versions.

Windows 3.1 was on the way out when Window-Eyes 3.1 was released, so I guess
they weren't too worried about it anyway.

I got it working with both Text Assist and KeyNote Gold MultiMedia, under
Windows 3.1, so those are the 2 software speech options, and Text Assist
depended on you having a Sound Blaster card.

I did buy KeyNote Gold MultiMedia, but, lost my floppy in a housefire in
2007, but, that wouldn't have mattered, as I have no floppy drive now
anyway, so I just used the demo to prove it worked.

Crank up your stereo and check this Wav file out.

It's Window-Eyes 3.1, running under Windows 3.1, and it's using Text Assist.

I even unload Window-Eyes and let Text-Assist do one of it's singing demo
files.

Enjoy!
