I don’t know the answer to your question. But over the past few weeks it took
longer and longer for e-mail messages to begin reading in WLM, with either JAWS
or Window-Eyes, in Windows 7. By last Monday nothing at all would read and
nothing could be edited for sending. At that point I decided to try migrating
my 50,000 plus messages to Windows 10. I’m starting out with Windows 10 mail
and JAWS, but may end up buying a copy of Outlook, because there are a lot of
disadvantages to Windows 10 Mail. Windows 10 Mail will read the .eml files that
WLM creates, but will not import them into mailboxes; they have to be opened
from file explorer one at a time.
I hope you’re not experiencing the same WLM problem I did, because I don’t
think you can download a fresh copy of WLM safely. It hasn’t been supported by
Microsoft since 2012.

Subject: Why Do E-mail Messages in Windows Live Mail Sometimes Become
SuddenlyUnreadable?

Hello All,

I wonder if anyone using Windows Live Mail could explain to me why some of my
e-mail messages can suddenly become unreadable. I get a message reading
something like this:
“A problem occurred while opening this message.” Then I am on an OK button
which I must activate in order to get out of this message.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.
