I would be concerned about any licensing restrictions that a corporate
sponsor might apply to data.  Currently the Google Maps & Google Earth
projects provide data (much or most of it originating from government
sources) and apply a variety of restrictions on it.

Most onerous issues are (a) license is for single user only, and
(b) server licenses are extremely expensive (so much so that we
have had difficulty getting a quote).

Am happy to learn more if mistaken about this.  Nevertheless these problems/
restrictions would appear to be incompatible with the goals of OpenAerialMap.
