1. Hardware purchase:

Thanks to all who participated in today's teleconference.

Notes from the phone call are on the wiki at
http://openaerialmap.org/OAM_Hardware_Conference_Call.

The Naval Postgraduate School is providing hardware and hosting to
support an OAM node. This will be comprised of a Open Solaris system
running on a ZFS file system acting as backend storage with a CentOS
system as a front end. The Solaris system should be available in ~
1 month [...]

After some issues with account setup and specifying a sole source
deliverable, the paperwork is finally in motion (attached). We will
keep everyone posted on timeline - at least a few weeks - depending
on how fast the auditor review of sole-source purchase proceeds.

2. Interim server:

This server is nearly ready, testing is in progress. We expect to
make it available next week.

Don McGregor, please provide pertinent specs for this machine and
i'll add them to

        https://savage.nps.edu/developers.html

3. Software, data and access lists needed

Can we please start populating the software list immediately? that way
installation and configuration can begin. How about a two-part list,
first consensus choices and also other suggested possibilities.

Presumably we will want http://mapserver.org ?

Similarly, we need to know what datasets are desired. We can order
open assets from NGA if desired but need to know what to request.
This takes time since they respond by loading and shiping external
disk drives.

Also needed: who in the OAM community will need special server-side
access for configuring the interim and ordered servers.

Things have been quiet, please let's get proactive so that this
capability can be stood up soonest (sometime in June hopefully).
TIA for all feedback everyone.

all the best, Don
