I think it would be great to have OSM mapping more widely distributed, however I'd be concerned that if this is a static process maps could end up on wikipedia which are constantly out of date because they are very much work in progress. Would there be a way to trigger automatic regeneration of maps? Perhaps on a monthly basis or something.
