For some strange reason, that filter only works on waypoints, not trackpoints. However, since I carry my GPS around with me almost everywhere (at least when I'm going places where I don't yet have tracks), I'd probably need to filter out a bunch of useless stuff anyway, such as the cluster of points when I stop at a store or something.
