Ok this may seem like a daft question, but how do you set the path so it uses version 1.6?
I've installed JAVA1.6 from Sun, but not sure how to force the JAVA calls to use it? As far as I remember, Osmosis uses some 1.6 features, especially the Geometry classes. There is a link to a 1.5 compatible version on the wiki ( http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/index.php/Osmosis#Downloading ), but I'm not sure how current that one is or if GCJ+Gnu Classpath is mature enough to intepret that version. You wrote in an earlier email that you already downloaded JDK1.6 for your box. Maybe you need to explicitly set your path to that version?
