Hello, I can't see an obvious way to do this, maybe I just need to dig around in the code behind the export tab, but is it possible to already do something similar to the Google static maps feature, i.e. allow people to just specify a URL in an img tag and have the static image with optional marker automatically created?

Sorry if this has come up already, it came up in a conversation with the owner of www.suttonactive.co.uk as a good opportunity to swap OSM maps in to replace a work-in-progress Google feature.
