A while back several people expressed interest in my modified version of Maemo Mapper for the Nokia N810 which does one-touch waypoints. My machine was out of action for a while, but it's back now, so I've now been able to make this available to download at http://www.frankieandshadow.com/dl?f=osm
- install Maemo-Mapper from the repository as normal - replace the binary (which is in /usr/bin/maemo-mapper on the N810) with the one above (you may want to install the ssh server and or gainroot in order to get at /usr/bin). This is only for the Chinook version of Maemo on the N810: N800 and N700 not supported, sorry. - in Options under Waypoints, tick the two boxes to turn on the one-touch waypoint function; you might also want to increase the size of the numbers displayed in the same place. Then when you track the view by lat/lon a prod anywhere on the map display will add an auto-numbered waypoint which JOSM will recognise when importing audio. Maemo-Recorder works fine in the background for recording the commentary; a bluetooth headset is useful, but use some sponge over it to reduce wind noise. Don't forget to set the default recording format to WAV. David _______________________________________________ talk mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
