It takes a while for the changes to filter through, since everything needs re-rendering. That's to be expected. You can see at http://munin.openstreetmap.org/openstreetmap/tile.openstreetmap-cpu.html that the tile rendering machine is running (almost) flat-out on re-rendering all the tiles in the cache. But almost all of the ones you look at will be done in the next day or so.
