I've just been reviewing some of the local comments left on OpenStreetBugs.
A few of the comments are good calls, but many are down to the inability of Mapnik to show detail - e.g. complaint is "name missing" when it is simply not rendered in a dense area, or "there should be X here" where X is there but too small to see. There's also a number of incorrect comments which are down to not understanding the signs on the ground properly. As the comments are all anonymous, I wonder whether there could be a third mode which is "reviewed but not changed" which stays on the map. Then I can leave an explanation of why it is the way it is, and it won't be repeated time and again after a "closed" comment vanishes after a week, either by the same person or another. I have no other way of communicating with the author of the comment.
