Hi, probably not news to most of you but until recently I had assumed that only a few outlandish places like China and Saudi Arabia had banned GPSes; now I read that Egypt - hitherto regarded by Y.T. as an at least halfway civil place - has had a GPS ban in place for 5 years now:
