I haven't received any announcement that he will do "clean-up" again. It's not even discussed as a matter of courtesy: http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Automated_Edits/Code_of_Conduct#Discuss_your_plans. I'm currently scanning xybot's edits.
