The RSS feeds you can get from ITO mapper should be easy to filter by user id (i.e. drop those edits from the list that are by trusted users). What would of course be nice to have and more difficult to employ is a chain/web of trust, so that you don't bother checking edits made by people trusted by people you trust, and so on. In the absence of express trust relationships, things like "active time with OSM" or "number of edits in the past" could be used to put users into a default "trust class"...
