Osm2pgsql is importing the data into PosGIS. It has a configuration file for defining the tags to be imported. Check that file, and add "historic" there if necessary. If you are Windows user and using osm2pgsql.exe made by Artem Pavlenko you are out of luck. It is importing a fixed set of tags. However, there is another download for Windows users at http://tile.openstreetmap.org/direct/osm2pgsql.zip That has another issue.
