I had spent a little time working on this in the spirit of cooperation ... I am not experienced enough to make a judgement on whether and how it should be linked to the main help page but I did think it was a good idea for the future that was worth spending some time on.
If Gert has not been completely demotivated I am still happy to put in a little time .. But not to take the lead or persist in advocacy of what I perceive as useful but others may not. If the project - as a 'work in progress' - is still live, how do I now access the page? (undo) I removed the link on 14th January because, as the above comment suggested, the page wasn't finished enough to be the first documentation that a newcomer to OSM might see. Sentences like "Read the Beginners Guide, because due to the fact that Potlatch is written in Flash, is is not as intuitive to use as other software!" don't exactly help - never mind the typos, whether or not Potlatch is unintuitive has nothing to do with Flash. I'm sure that when it's had a bit more refinement it'll be a valuable addition to the documentation.
