This is one of the things I've been meaning to do for a while, and which I'm particularly interested in now, as my job has required me to do quite a bit of work with OpenGL recently so it would fit in quite well. I just want to get the new Freemap (OpenFootMap) server up and running then I'll probably start work on it, other commitments permitting as always. My plans would be a Qt and OpenGL based application and therefore cross platform.
