hi, I had set up mapnik with mod_tile and openlayers and this worked fine on my local machine. I then set it up on my server - everything works, but mapnik does not attempt to access the postgresql server and only renders the boundaries. I have compiled mapnik --with-postgis, but nothing happens. The only difference between the 2 installs is that the local machine is fedora10 and the server is lenny. It is not a case of failing silently as the postgresql logs show no attempt to access postgres. I even put a wrong username and password to test - but no go.
