Good news for windows mobile users! NoniGPSplot (donation ware) now displays OSM maps (amongst others) in real time if you have a data connection, and allows you to record tracks and waypoints, including voice points.
Finally I have an all in one system that can show me what needs mapping and
record tracks and waypoints that works on my HTC TyTN II! :D
