Hi Apollinaris, currently the bot only affects long ways which is an error which was well discussed on #osm and #osm-de and doubled nodes in a way which is for month a common check in validator script of JOSM, which is used by many users. Nobody ever complains about user edits which removed doubled nodes, and the only thing which was discussed here is that the importscript got errors.
So I don't see any reason why this bot do something wrong, it's the same thing I would do if I got enouth time and ressources with JOSM. Else it doesn't risk any informationloss because it doesn't delete anything which is valid. It only fixes the datastructure which might help routing applications and stuff like that.
