The interesting thing there is that the added complications of API 0.6 (and the occasional shonkiness of the bulk upload tools) mean that a lot of people now appear to be doing their bulk uploads using JOSM. As a result, if you considered the number of primitives I'm pretty sure that JOSM would be way, way in front of any other editor.
