A map is an abstraction and can not hope to perfectly represent all of the wonderful variations of 'things' we see. There are likely to be several ways to do some of the things that you want to do. Some of these variations will have subtle benefits and some will be matters of personal preference. Others will be noticeably different than what you will see in other jurisdictions. Look to see what other are doing locally and in similar places. Learn and adapt what you see as best practice in other places.
