Hello folks OSM is great! We're using OSM for our location-based game for quite a while for Switzerland+Europe, but now plan to have the whole world rendered with Mapnik.
Now, I have noticed that Asian fonts (China is labeled with two boxes instead of the correct Unicode chars) are not working, even thou I have the arphic/uming.ttc copied to OSM/Mapnik as suggested in http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Mapnik#Troubleshooting. Is there somebody who knows how to set up things properly? Do I need other fonts? Where do I have to adjust other settings? I use Ubuntu 9.10. The osm.xml font section is attached below Thanks for your help!
