If the wiki says that then the wiki is wrong. :) Potlatch doesn't automatically make joins if you drag an existing node onto another way. (Drawing a way is another matter.) You can do one of two things: - Select the top-most way, and shift-click the intersection. A node will be inserted in all the ways at that point. - Drag the node onto the way you want to join it to.
