Awesome examples in this thread. Three I haven't seen above. Fantastic stuff from Tom Carden, way back in 2007. Includes "places near Edinburgh where it's faster to take transit than drive to arrive at 9am" And "Places near London where a bicycle is faster than public transit." Brilliant. http://www.mysociety.org/2007/more-travel-maps/
The Municipality of Lund (Sweden) uses OpenStreetMap to show a selection of routes by foot, bicycle, private car and public transit, then includes travel time (naturally) plus calories burned, and carbon-offset per route. Awesome. http://kartor.lund.se/resejamforaren/start_st.htm University of Maryland pedestrian routing on campus, includes wheechair-friendly routing. http://map.umd.edu/map/ _______________________________________________ talk mailing list [email protected] http://lists.openstreetmap.org/listinfo/talk
