I would agree bus schedule data is better left to GTFS. However, it would be beneficial to include the unique GTFS identifier as a tag on the bus stops. This eases the mashup of OSM and GTFS data. A project out of Florida, USA created a tool to sync up OSM and GTFS data (not time tables though), and they've used some tags to include this GTFS data. However the scheme is not robust enough, and hasn't undergone much if any community discussion.
