This is a great idea, especially the non-improved GNIS points in your neighborhood.
Where do OSBugs go, though? I'm under the impression it's a bit of a graveyard, and your description sounds like something that should allow people to push fixes right to the map themselves. Make them understand they have direct influence, rather than shipping their input off to a bug tracker to die. -mike.
