Hello All, I am Nikhil, perusing my studies in Civil Engineering at IIT Kanpur India. Though my background is civil engineering, I am fond of programming and have been doing it as a interest and some times as part of academics. I have gone through GSOC-12 idea page of OSM and I am interested in working on Video based speed limit detector. I have experience in computer vision and used Opencv and matlab for image processing mainly for robotic applications and remote sensing. I also know android app development and have developed a geological survey tool for android. >From past few days I am getting familiar with OSM and related projects like JSOM, MapDust and have couple of ideas which can be integrated along with this project. Meanwhile I would really like to get some inputs from possible mentor and community members in preparation of project proposal.
