Sorry if this has already been mentioned (haven't been keeping up on the list), but the latest edition of the Adventure Motorcycling Handbook lists OSM a couple times as a good source of maps, especially for developing countries.
Naturally, I keep my GPS full of OSM maps while out in the woods on the bike, and update the map when it needs it.
