+1. Easy enough

In the longer term, let's look to do even better targeting than GeoIP. Users 
will express interest in places explicitly, by joining mailing lists, and 
through their edits. Put this kind of anaylsis and groups into osm.org itself. 
I myself want to know of any events upcoming in Kenya and India. Those could be 
conferences, or mapping parties, or online chats.
