Dear all, I just learned that the main API does allow empty tag values, e.g. http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/2411598379
However, JOSM does not allow to set empty tags (it removes the tag instead), and that was never a reason for a bug report, i.e. at least half of all OSM users never missed them. And I assume several other software doesn't properly handle empty tags too. Should empty tags be allowed? Or should empyt tags silently treated as the tag being absent?
