Just noticed the information on planet.openstreetmap.org regarding the coastline data still points to the historical shapefiles - likely luring many inexperienced data users into working with outdated data. Would be great if this could be updated on occasion - http://planet.openstreetmap.org/historical-shapefiles/ already points to the replacements.
